The Black Man By Avery Scott

Never say what a black man can’t do.

Put him to the test and he’ll make a liar out of you.

Never think you can break his spirit,

Because just when you think it’s broken,

You’ll find out that you were nowhere near it.

Never think that you’ve got a big enough lead,

Because a black man travels at light speed.

Never put his woman or his children down,

Because he’s quick enough to catch them

Before they hit the ground.

Never think that he’s not thinking of you,

And of the pain and agony that you put him through.

Never put a black man to the test,

Because all you’ll do is bring out his best.
